We had extra wool roving scraps from another project and thought we would try making felt balls.
First, take a little wool, one color or many, pull it apart until it is fairly flat. Add soap. Fold it into itself. Run it under super hot water (watch your skin!), and begin to roll it, gently, between your hands. After about 10 seconds of rolling, dip it into ice cold water and continue to roll into a ball. Keep alternating between the super hot and super cold and gradually start to push harder, compacting the wool into a ball. That’s all there is to it. If you end up having cracks/lines in your ball, just add another thin layer of wool and repeat the process. Set them out to dry and VIOLA! They are done!
Now that you have them, you can embellish them by sewing on beads, glueing googly eyes or using them as decoration everywhere you can find!
