We are studying Native Americans this month. One of the legends in their culture is around Dream Catchers. You might have seen one before. It is believed that when a dream catcher is hung over a sleeping person’s head, the bad dreams get tangled in the web and are absorbed by the light of day. The good dreams, make it through and gently fall down along the feathers to the person below. It happens so peacefully, that the sleeping person may not even know they had the dream!
We made our dream catchers from embroidery hoops, ribbons, waxed twine, beads and turkey feathers from a local turkey. :0)
Here’s a video if you want to make your own! They are actually easier than it appears!
