As the final leaves of the season fell, the girls learned about Andy Goldsworthy – an inspired British artist who is a sculptor, photographer and environmentalist that produces his art on site using only the natural things that surround him. Almost all of his installations are as temporary as nature allows. He uses everything from icicles, to leaves to the branches around him. The girls headed out to the ravine behind our house to mimic some of his work in their own way.
